Emily Blunt, born on February 23, 1983 in Roehampton, South West London, had a stammer problem since 8 years old. Although her mom enrolled Emily to relaxation classes, the speech problem continued until Blunt discovered that she could make a northern accent in a school play, which helped the stammer disappear for good. Since then, Emily participated in various school plays until she entered the Hurtwood House in 1999 to study drama. In 2000, just six weeks through her theatre course, Emily Blunt was chosen to perform at the Edinburgh Festival, where she was signed by Ken McReddi and helped her bag jobs at the BBC and West End in productions such as “Henry VIII,” “Empire” and “Foyle’s War.” However, it was only in her work on “The Royal Family” production in 2001 that gave Emily Blunt recognition, winning a ‘Best Newcomer’ award at the Evening Standard.

After starring in “Romeo and Juliet” at the Chichester Festival in 2002, Emily Blunt landed a role on the TV series “Boudica.” In 2004, she won critical acclaim for her work on the movie “My Summer of Love.” In 2006, Emily Blunt received numerous nominations and won the ‘British Supporting Actress of the Year’ award from ALFS for her portrayal of the British neurotic assistant on “The Devil Wears Prada.” Other notable films of Emily Blunt include “Irresistible,” “Sunshine Cleaning,” “Dan In Real Life,” “Charlie Wilson’s War” and “The Young Victoria.”

Emily Blunt, who divides her time between London and Sydney, used to date Canadian jazz singer Michael Bublé from 2005 to 2008. In fact, Bublé wrote the hit song “Everything” for Emily Blunt. She became the face of Max Mara’s ad campaign in 2007 and has graced the covers of numerous magazines, including Esquire, InStyle, Harper’s Bazaar, The Times Magazine, S Magazine and Vanity Fair.
